Want to give a couple of late birthday wishes to Amanda Borretos and Grandma Allgaier. Love you both so much even if sometimes I forget to tell you! This last Saturday was a pretty special day for a couple of reasons. I finished being a teenager, but more exciting... We found Lupita!! She is a convert from Salinas Victoria who was confirmed my second week there and we got to know each other pretty well since. Turns out she hasn't gone to church in a while and moved in with her boyfriend (hence her moving here and finding us). Even so, she has a strong testimony, which is why she brought us to her boyfriend Cesar so that they could 'later on get married in the temple'. Awesome birthday present, thank you Lupita.
Apart from that, the missionaries talked on Sunday touching various topics, which is always fun for us. I talked a bit about the importance of sacrificing temporal desires for eternal blessings. Then, there's a new thing that the Church is doing, at least here in México, called self-sufficiency (autosuficiencia) that helps people become more financially and spiritually independent. Great idea because there are a good number of members who are struggling with that, including all of our recent converts. I invite you to take a look at the program as well and see if you can take advantage of its ideas. To end, Gloria and Benigno have officially received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Love you all, stay active!
